In 2003, Kim Cornell restored the Cornell Farms' heritage barn. Built in 1915, by William Pope, Gordon's grandfather, the barn is a well-known landmark in the Rainy River District.
It is a working barn from September to June -- used as hay storage in the Winter and for calving cows in the Spring. In the Summer it is used for Barn Concerts and Events.
