Grass Fed Beef
Very Lean Product HIgh in Omega-3
All of the processed products that we sell at farmers’ markets in Northwestern Ontario are grass-fed beef products. Grass-fed beef is the beef from cattle which live the entire Summer on pasture, free to roam and graze as they please. During the Winter, they eat only hay.
While grain-finished is the norm in North America, there are still many regions worldwide where that isn't the case. For example, in Argentina all meat is grass-fed.
Grass-fed beef produce a very lean product high in omega-3 and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), two components reputed to have significant health benefits.
